While most of us still aren't in our normal routines of working due to the New Year's Eve/Day holiday, it is Monday, which means a new goal series has launched for completion in FarmVille's Mistletoe Lane. Chapter 9 takes advantage of the holiday by theming some of the goals around resolutions and New Year's, and we're here with a complete guide to finishing them off, thanks to FarmVille Freak. Let's get started!
Closing Out the Year
- Get 6 Gifts to Exchange
- Harvest 125 Winter Grain
- Make 3 Winter Casseroles
For this "Gifts to Exchange" task and all others that ask you to gather a certain kind of collectible, you'll be able to earn these items by posting a general request to your news feed for help. As for the Winter Grain, that crop takes a full day to grow, so make sure you plant it fast to not get behind right from the beginning. Finally, the Winter Casseroles can be prepared inside the Patisserie, but your crafting building must have at least 3-Stars before being able to cook it. A single Winter Casserole requires two Flint Corn, one Bell Pepper, and two Wax Bean Bushels to craft. You'll receive 150 XP, 3,000 coins and a "Ham It Up" for completing this goal.
Gifting Promises
- Get 8 Resolutions
- Harvest 150 Cider Apples
- Make 3 Hollowberry Pie
The Cider Apples take 16 hours to grow, so feel free to plant them at the same time as the Winter Grain above, if you happen to have enough land space available to do so. As for the Hollowberry Pie, this is another Patisserie recipe, and it requires four Hollowberry, three Jingleberry and three Blueberry Bushels to create. You'll need a 3-Star Patisserie to unlock this recipe if you haven't already. You'll receive 200 XP, 3,500 coins and a Plush Dog for finishing this goal. You'll want to place this Plush Dog into an animal storage building as soon as you can, since you'll need to master it later.
Lazy Funday
- Get 8 Movies to Watch
- Harvest 150 Wax Beans
- Make 3 Potato Latkes
Yet again, we're being asked to harvest a lengthy crop, with Wax Beans taking 16 hours to grow. As we said before, it's always best to plant more than one kind of crop at once if you can, but if you don't have enough space, make sure to grow these Wax Beans as soon as you harvest the Cider Apples for the goal above. That way, these Wax Beans will get a head start on growing before you ever truly need them. Back in the Patisserie, the Potato Latke is the final 3-Star building recipe, and it requires one Winter Squash, one Sunflower and two Potatornament Bushels to craft. After you finish this goal, you'll receive 50 XP, 4,000 coins and a Movie Buff Gnome.
Sophisticated Starts
- Get 8 Bookstore Ads
- Harvest 150 Winter Squash
- Make 2 Blackberry Champagne
The Winter Squash takes two full days to grow, but if you can't plant this crop ahead of time, it might be worth boosting with an Insta-Grow that you might have lying around in your inventory. If these goals weren't timed, this lengthy growth cycle obviously wouldn't be an issue, but ever minute counts here. As for the Blackberry Champange, this recipe is only available in a 4-Star Patisserie, so you'll need to level up your recipes even more to reach this point if you haven't already. It requires one Holiday Poinsettia, three Light Orchid and three Blackberry Bushels to craft. You'll receive 300 XP, 4,500 coins and a Reading Raccoon when you complete this goal.
Sporting Good Snow Times
- Get 9 Snow Activities
- Master Plush Dog to 1-Star
- Harvest 175 Chocomint
As we said above, the Plush Dog should already be in an animal storage building, since you need to reach 1-Star. If you've been planning ahead with us, you might already have that first star, but if not, feel free to move this Dog around different storage buildings (if you have more than one), since you can harvest it multiple times in the same day with only a slight waiting time in between each. As for the Chocomint, this crop takes 16 hours to grow. After you finish this goal, you'll receive 350 XP, 5,000 coins and a Winter Sports Tree.
Things That Matter
- Get 10 People to Visit
- Harvest 200 White Cranberry
- Make 2 Snickerdoodles
The White Cranberries take 12 hours to grow, but if you haven't been very dedicated at playing in Mistletoe Lane, you might not have unlocked them yet. They require Cheer Level 29 to plant, so keep that in mind. As for the Snickerdoodles, these are a 4-Star Patisserie dish, and they require one Frost Holly, one Lavender, and two Winter Grain Bushels to craft. After you finish this final goal in all of Chapter 9, you'll receive 400 XP, 5,500 coins and a Hot Cocoa Pegacorn. Good luck!
