FarmVille 2 Animal Mastery: Everything You Need to Know

Crop mastery has long been a staple of FarmVille 2. But farmers have never had that same "master them all" incentive to continue tending to animals if they no longer need their resources. That all changes with this week's addition of animal mastery to the game. Your hard work and dedication will be rewarded with up to three ribbons for each animal that you master.
This event receives a proper introduction, as you're given a free rabbit and some Speed Feed during the feature's tutorial. Speed Feed will allow you to feed an animal again without having to wait for the animal's feed timer to tick down as usual. As of this writing, you can purchase additional Speed Feed in bundles of 2, 10, or 25 for 2 Farm Bucks, 7 Farm Bucks, or 14 Farm Bucks each, respectively.
While you'll definitely earn mastery points for tending animals that are wandering freely around your farm, you'll also earn mastery points for tending animals that are in storage buildings, like the Goat Shelter or Chicken Coop. While these stored animals are "prized," they still count for mastery points on the original animal (i.e. Prized White Chickens will count for regular White Chicken mastery).
FarmVille 2 Animal Mastery: Everything You Need to Know
If you're ever interested in finding out how many more mastery points you need for a ribbon, you can head into the marketplace and hover your mouse pointer over the animal's slot in the store. Protip: While you can use Speed Feed to feed animals more often for mastery points, you're better off saving this new boost for a lengthy animal for a timed quest.

FarmVille 2 Sweetheart Tree: Everything you need to know

A dreamy new character has appeared on our farms in FarmVille 2, as Zynga has introduced Gus, a character that is a "hunky mix of Ryan Gosling, George Clooney, and Brad Pitt." Gus' arrival brings more Valentine's Day content to the game, as we're now begin given a chance to plant and grow a Sweetheart Tree, and collect Valentines around the farm that can be used to earn new prizes for the farm, including a Caramel Pygora Goat.

If you're used to previous holiday celebrations in FarmVille 2, this one works similarly, as the Sweetheart Tree will serve as your "hub" for this event, but you'll need to build it first. Gus will give you the tree for free, and it requires 10 Shovels, 10 Bags of Soil, and 10 Wood Planks to complete. You'll be able to earn these items via a combination of general news posts and individual requests sent directly to your neighbors. Once you've collected all of these items, you'll be able to finish off the tree by asking four of your friends to be builders in your game.

With the Sweetheart Tree completed, you'll be able to collect Valentines in a variety of ways. You can tend trees to earn Valentines at random, similar to how you earn prized crops elsewhere on the farm, or you can craft Valentines yourself in the Crafting Kitchen. A single Valentine can be created using one Milk Chocolate and one Candied Rose Petals.
Both of these items are recipes in and of themselves, with Milk Chocolates requiring Cocoa Nibs (ask friends) and Milk to create, and Candied Rose Petals requiring Confectioner's Sugar (ask friends) and Roses.

As you collect Valentines, you'll be able to use them as "tokens" to redeem up to four prizes. Here's the breakdown of prizes:

Pink Planter - 15 Valentines
Bird Bath - 30 Valentines
Camellia Tree - 60 Valentines
Love Picnic Tent - 145 Valentines

Once you've earned at least one of each of these four prizes, you'll earn a special fifth prize for free: the Caramel Pygora Goat. If you continue to collect Valentines even after you've earned all five prizes, you can turn them in for duplicates of these items until the event ends on February 19. Good luck earning them all!

FarmVille 2 Love is the Air Crafting Recipes: Everything you need to know

In addition to the Love is in the Air items that have been released in the store in FarmVille 2, productive farmers can also use some of these new Valentine's Day items to earn coins via the game's Crafting Kitchen.

There are three new recipes available to craft in the Valentine's Day theme, but as you might expect, they'll only be available for a limited time. We're here with a guide on cooking these three recipes, including their payouts and XP rewards.

The first recipe is the Rose Cupcake, and a single Cupcake takes 12 Red Roses and two Batter to prepare. While you can create the Batter yourself using Flour (wheat) and Eggs, the Red Roses are grown outright on your farm. This Red Rose crop will only be available for planting for 22 days, but since it takes just four hours to grow, you can grow a ton of them within that time period.

A single Rose Cupcake sells for 2,040 coins, which is a pretty great payout for a "free" recipe. You'll also receive 16 XP for each one you craft. The second dish in this theme is Almond Candy, which is created using five Sugar and eight Almonds. As you might have guessed, the Almonds are earned from the Almond Tree, which is available in the store for 12 Farm Bucks. If you're not interested in spending the Farm Bucks on your own tree, you can also visit your friends' farms to tend their Almond Trees (if they have them) for a chance at free Almonds. Meanwhile, the Sugar is earned by simply asking your friends to send you some. You'll earn 2,500 coins for each Almond Candy you sell, along with 14 XP for each candy that you create. The final recipe is the Almond Cake, which also requires the Almond Tree. This recipe is prepared using two Flour and 14 Almonds. The Flour is created by using Wheat in bulk, so if you need extra Wheat, you can find it in the store for 10 coins per square. It takes four hours to grow, so make sure you come back quick enough to harvest the crop before it withers. A single Almond Cake will sell for 3,100 coins, and you'll receive 19 XP for each cake you create. These dishes will only be available for 29 days, and while that gives you plenty of time to stock up on free Red Roses, if you're just trying to earn Almonds by tending your friends' farms, you may never earn enough to actually craft either of these two premium recipes. If that's the route you're taking, we wish you the best of luck.

FarmVille 2 Goat Shelter: Everything you need to know

If you've reached at least Level 6 in FarmVille 2, you now have a brand new animal storage building: the Goat Shelter. Similar to the Chicken Coop, this Goat Shelter will allow you to store up to 12 Prized Goats on your farm, and will increase your Animal Feed capacity in the process. As with all good things in FarmVille 2 though, you can't use this one until you build it, and we're here with a guide to do just that, thanks to Zynga.

The Goat Shelter requires eight Goat Bedding, eight Hinges, and eight Nails to complete. All of these items are earned through a combination of general news posts on your wall and individual requests sent directly to your neighbors. Once that's done, you'll need to ask four of your neighbors to come work as builders within the Goat Shelter to actually finish it off.

With the building out of the way, the Goat Shelter can hold up to 12 Prized Goats, regardless of type (e.g. you could store a Prized Red Goat alongside a Prized Pygmy Goat). Each individual animal will take up one storage slot. You can feed all of these Prized Goats at the same time for half of the Animal Feed it would take if they were still wandering around your farm.

In addition, once you finish building the Goat Shelter, your maximum Animal Feed capacity will go up by 35 points. It's also worth noting that you'll still receive all of the normal products from your Goats as you tend them. That is, they'll still produce Goat Cheese each time they're fed, whether they're inside the Goat Shelter or not.

Unfortunately, this building has yet to roll around to all farmers, so if you don't see one in your game just yet, you'll need to wait just a bit longer to build one. Hopefully, the wait won't be too long, and you can reclaim some of your land space soon.

FarmVille 2 Chinese New Year Crafting Recipes: Everything You Need to Know

You've had a complete look at the new Chinese New Year decorations, crops, animals and trees in the FarmVille 2 marketplace. But wait, there's more! There are also three new Crafting Kitchen recipes that will be available for around a month, and we're here with a complete guide to their ingredients and payouts.
The first recipe is Goji Berry Lemonade, and it are crafted with one Lemonade and eight Goji Berries. These berries are planted for 28 coins per square, and they're ready to harvest after four hours. As for the Lemonade, this recipe itself is worth 350 coins, and it takes a couple of steps to create. First, you'll need to combine Lemons and Water to make Lemon Water.
After that, you'll combine the Lemon Water with more Lemons to create the actual Lemonade. That makes this recipe even more valuable than its 350 coin sale price, since it requires Water, arguably the most valuable item in the game. If you decide to turn your Goji Berries into Goji Berry Lemonade, you'll be able to sell a single batch for 2,510 coins. You'll also receive 16 XP for each Lemonade you create.
FarmVille 2 Chinese New Year Crafting Recipes: Everything You Need to Know
The second recipe is for a jar of Salted Plums, which requires three Salt and 10 Chinese Plums to create. The Salt are earned by sending out individual requests to your friends for help, while the Chinese Plums are earned from the Chinese Plum Tree. A single Chinese Plum Tree is available for purchase for 12 Farm Bucks, but if you're not willing to spend Farm Bucks on the tree to earn Chinese Plums on your own farm, you might be able to earn some from friends. You can tend these trees on your friends' farms (where available) to have a chance at Chinese Plums, but there's no guarantee you'll actually earn enough to create some Salted Plums. If you do, or you simply purchase the tree yourself, you can sell a single jar of Salted Plums for 3,000 coins. You'll receive 16 XP for each one you create.
FarmVille 2 Chinese New Year Crafting Recipes: Everything You Need to Know
The final recipe is another premium option, as Orange Fortune Cookies are available to create using three Batter and eight Mandarin Oranges each. The Batter are created using Flour and Eggs, with Flour being created using Wheat. The Mandarin Oranges, meanwhile, are earned via the Mandarin Orange Tree, which is purchased for 12 Farm Bucks. If you gather enough Mandarin Oranges to create an Orange Fortune Cookie—either through your own trees or through friends'—you'll be able to sell them for 3,340 coins per batch. This recipe rewards 24 XP per creation.
FarmVille 2 Chinese New Year Crafting Recipes: Everything You Need to Know
These recipes will be available for 27 days, while the actual trees and crops in this theme will expire after 20 days. We'll let you know whether this Chinese New Year theme expands in FarmVille 2 before the real deal arrives next month.

FarmVille 2 Lonely Baby Peacock: Everything you need to know

Apparently, your land in FarmVille 2 is a bright spot on the horizon for lonely, lost animals, as yet another has appeared on the outskirts of your farmlooking for a home. This time, it's a baby Indian Peacock, and you'll have 10 days to lure him into your farm with the help of friends.

There are three tasks that must be completed before this Indian Peacock will call your farm "home."

Place the Peacock Perch
Finish the Peacock Perch
Collect 3 Bags of Bathing Dust

The Peacock Perch can be placed via this quest window, and it requires building materials to complete. You'll need eight Boabab Branches, eight Butterfly Pea Blossoms, and eight Metal, with all of these items being available by simply asking your friends to send them to you. When that's done, you'll need to ask four friends to come work as staff within the building to finally finish the Peacock Perch.

While you're waiting for those items or friends to arrive, you can work on the "Fan Appeal" quests that will allow you to earn Bathing Dust. The first quest asks you to place the Perch's base, harvest 10 Curly Kale and make 25 Animal Feed. The Curly Kale takes eight hours to grow, so unless you have Insta-Grow potions or Farm Bucks that you're willing to use on growing it instantly, you'll want to get this Kale growing ASAP.

Either way, once you complete enough quests to earn the three Bags of Bathing Dust, you'll have a new baby Indian Peacock on your farm that can be fed and raised like all of your other animals. Who knows, perhaps one day we'll be able to purchase other Peacocks or Peahens to keep him company. One can only hope. Good luck!

FarmVille 2 Art Deco Crafting Recipes: Everything You Need to Know

We've already brought you a complete guide to the Art Deco items in the FarmVille 2 marketplace, but there's more to this theme than just items in the store. In fact, there are three new crafting recipes available for creation inside the Crafting Kitchen, and we're here with a complete guide to making these fancy, new dishes.
The first recipe is for Cheesy Kale Chips. This dish requires three Cheese and 12 Curly Kale to create, with Curly Kale being the free crop that's now available to plant via this theme. A single square of Curly Kale takes eight hours to grow, while Cheese is earned by tending dairy animals like Cows or Goats. A single batch of Cheesy Kale Chips sells for 1,770 coins. Since Cheese is so easy to come by, and you'll likely wind up with tons of Curly Kale as you try to master the crop, this is definitely a great way to invest your ingredients for profits.
FarmVille 2 Art Deco Crafting Recipes: Everything You Need to Know
The next two recipes are technically premium, as they require items from premium trees to craft. The first of these two premium recipes is the Jellied Paw Paw , which requires two Lemon Water and 10 Paw Paw Fruits to craft. A single Lemon Water is worth 150 coins, but it's more valuable in the grand scheme of things simply because it requires water to create. Meanwhile, the Paw Paw Fruits come from the Paw Paw Tree, which is available to purchase in the store for 12 Farm Bucks. If you don't wish to purchase one, but you have friend(s) that do, tend their trees for a chance at earning Paw Paw Fruits for yourself. Unfortunately, there's no guarantee you'll ever earn enough to actually craft this recipe before it expires from the Crafting Kitchen. If you do end up crafting Jellied Paw Paws, you can sell them for 2,040 coins each.
FarmVille 2 Art Deco Crafting Recipes: Everything You Need to Know
The final recipe is for Honeyed Mini-Cakes, which require three Batter and six Honey Locust Fruit to craft. Like the Paw Paw Fruits, these Honey Locust Fruits come from a premium tree, the Honey Locust Tree. This tree also costs 12 Farm Bucks to purchase, and it's available for harvesting once every 12 hours. Meanwhile, the Batter is one of the game's more complicated crafting recipes, as it first requires you to create Flour using Wheat. From there, the Wheat must be combined with Eggs to form the Batter. A single Batter is worth 290 coins, and since you need three of them, the Batter actually accounts for 870 coins of this recipe's final sale price. A batch of Honeyed Mini-Cakes sells for 2,530 coins.
FarmVille 2 Art Deco Crafting Recipes: Everything You Need to Know
While the trees and Curly Kale will only be available to purchase in the store for 18 more days, these crafting recipes will be available for a week longer, or 25 days from this writing. If you're interested in stocking up on coins by creating any of these recipes, make sure you purchase their ingredients sooner, rather than later.

FarmVille 2 Cheats & Tips: Combine buildings to create something new!

To say that some of FarmVille 2's buildings are expensive would be an understatement. Players with deep pockets can purchase some great looking buildings for upwards of 48 Farm Bucks, but are these buildings really worth the bragging rights? Do they do anything other than look pretty? Well, if you're willing to purchase more than one of them, you can actually create something even grander than the individual pieces, which we have to admit is pretty neat.

If you're willing to shell out the Farm Bucks, you can combine an "Economy" level Log Cabin with a "Deluxe" Log Cabin to form a much larger home. Whether the home is actually larger or it's just an optical illusion will be up to you, but when you place an Economy Log Cabin next to a Log Cabin Deluxe, you'll form one much larger Log Cabin, fit for all of your virtual farmer's needs. The only catch? An Economy Log Cabin costs at least 28 Farm Bucks, while a Deluxe model costs at least 44 Farm Bucks, depending on the color you choose.

Still, if you're already willing to purchase these buildings for individual use on your farms, this helpful design tip is definitely something to keep in mind. I mean, just look at the final product when you combine three (see at right)! Not only will you earn tons of XP for simply purchasing the building, but you'll have one of the coolest looking structures on your farm, so make sure to purchase these cabins (if you're interested) before they expire in 15 days.

PC FarmVille 2 ‘Dairy Delicacies’ Quests: Everything You Need To Know

Zynga has turned its focus to the Yogurt Creamery in FarmVille 2, seeing players build this new milk-themed structure on their farms and complete a series of eight new quests in a “Dairy Delicacies” line. This quest line deals with the construction of the Yogurt Creamery, so if you’ve already built one on your own farm, you’ll have a head start on the proceedings.
We’re here with a guide to get you started in these lactose-laden Dairy Delicacies quests.
Working for Peanuts
• Place the Yogurt Creamery
• Make 30 Animal Feed
• Harvest 15 Peanuts
The Yogurt Creamery doesn’t need to be built to complete this first quest; you’ll just need to place its base. Once that’s done, you can convert any material, from Olives to Marshmallows, into Animal Feed, so long as you make 30 in all. For your reference, items like Carrots create far more Animal Feed per unit that Apples or Tomatoes do (as examples), so feel free to spend just three Carrots and save the other items for later use. As for the Peanuts, these are a “Rancher’s Delight” crop that take four hours to grow. You’ll receive 20 XP and 400 coins for completing this quest.
Milking It
• Collect 5 Milking Gloves from Friends
• Feed 8 Adult Goats
• Harvest 20 Wheat
The Milking Gloves are earned by posting a general request to your news feed for help. As for the Adult Goats, they are fed every 15 minutes. It’s worth noting that only standard Adult Goats will work for this quest, as tending Prized Goats doesn’t count. Meanwhile, the Wheat takes four hours to grow, unless you rely on the help of instant grow potions or even friends to grow the Wheat faster. For completing this quest, you’ll receive 20 XP and another 400 coins.
Save Your Fork
• Tend Hen House 1 time
• Harvest 25 Pumpkins
• Craft 3 Pumpkin Pies
The Hen House can only be tended once per day, so if you’re like us and have already tended your Hen House before reaching this quest, you’ll need to wait for the timer to tick down before you can tend it again. As for the Pumpkins, they take eight hours to grow, so you can grow those if you’re forced to wait for the Hen House to recharge. Finally, the Pumpkin Pies are created inside the Crafting Kitchen using one Pumpkin Filling and one Pie Crust each. Pie Crusts are made using Butter and the Wheat you grew earlier, so don’t spend it all before completing this quest! We’ll include tips and tricks about the rest of the quests in this Dairy Delicacies feature as soon as we can.

FarmVille 2 Yogurt Creamery: Everything You Need to Know

Land is hard to come by in FarmVille 2, but if you've got a few extra acres to spare, you can now build the Yogurt Creamery to give your dairy animals much more important status on the farm. The Yogurt Creamery will take advantage of your (hopefully many) goats and cows, as you work to collect a series of 12 yogurts, just like you collect eggs from chickens in the Hen House for prizes.
Before you can ever use the Yogurt Creamery though, you'll need to build it. The first of two building stages see you collecting six Milk Cans, eight Stone Blocks and eight Wood Planks. The Milk Cans are earned by posting general requests to your news feed, while the other two sets of items are earned through individual requests to your neighbors. Finally, you'll need to add four friends to the building as workers to finish it off. These workers are earned through even more individual requests sent directly to friends.
After the Yogurt Creamery has been completed, you can use it only if you have four Adult Cows or Goats on your farm (not Prized Cows or Goats). Feeding these Adult animals results in Milk Droplets added to the Yogurt Creamery. Once the Creamery is full, you can then harvest it for Yogurt. Each time you harvest the Creamery, you'll always receive Plain Yogurt, the only exception being the very first harvest. This first time, you're guaranteed to receive a "Gourmet Yogurt," which comes in three rarities: Uncommon, Rare and Ultra Rare. As for the Plain Yogurt, it can be used as a crafting ingredient to make different Yogurts or overall recipes.
FarmVille 2 Yogurt Creamery: Everything You Need to Know
According to Zynga, the Gourmet Yogurts aren't used for crafting. Instead, they will go into a Yogurt Collection. Once you've collected 12 of them, you'll receive a Highland Cow animal that's only available via this event. At any time, you can skip these steps with Farm Bucks to earn the Highland Cow right away. But since this feature is heavily automated, there's no reason to not just let things run their course, so long as you're not too impatient.
This Yogurt Creamery is complex in writing but easier to understand in action. Now, how long before we can craft Greek yogurt?

FarmVille Enchanted Glen Enchantment Shop: Everything you need to know

As with many of FarmVille's recent expansions, the new fairy-themed Enchanted Glen comes with a workshop that will allow you to create new animals over time. This newest building is called the Enchantment Shop, and it comes in the form of a large tree that's only half complete when you first arrive.

You'll need to collect 10 Sun Light Ropes, 10 Moon Gems, and 10 Armillary Spheres to finish off the Enchantment Shop, with each item being earned by sending out individual requests to your neighbors for help. You can also purchase these items with Farm Cash, or earn them from friends' news posts that they share extras on their walls. When you finish it off, you'll be able to collect a variety of colors of Pixie Dust, with each animal requiring a different combination of Dust colors and quantities.

For instance, the first animal is the Fay Sheep, and it requires four White Pixie Dust to create. You'll receive White Pixie Dust for free when completing the building of the Enchantment Shop, and you'll also receive Pixie Dust each time you collect from the Shop into the future. The more variety of animals the Shop contains, the greater variety of Pixie Dust you can earn. For the record, the second animal is the Silver Rhino, which requires five White Pixie Dust to create.
From there, the requirements become harder, as you'll need two White Pixie Dust and four Yellow Pixie Dust to receive your next animal. So long as you repeatedly collect from the Enchantment Shop and remember to claim items from friends, you should eventually be able to make them all, even if it takes quite a while to do. Good luck!

FarmVille 2 Prized Chicken Coop: Everything you need to know

Before the changes to the Prized Animal feature in FarmVille 2 that made prized animals grow more slowly, players filled their farms with tons of Prized White Chickens, as they grew in a flash. If you're still holding onto many of these Chickens, but would like to reclaim some space on your farm, you can now place and build the Prized Chicken Coop for free.

That's right, this Prized Chicken Coop can be found for free under the Buildings section in the store. You may not receive a pop-up telling you to place this building, however. Once you place the base of the Prized Chicken Coop, you'll need to complete two building stages to finish it. The first stage requires standard item collection, as you'll need to ask your friends for eight Chicken Bedding, eight Nails and eight Wood Planks. All three of these groups of items are earned through individual requests sent to your neighbors.

Once you finish the entire Prized Chicken Coop, you'll be able to store up to nine Prized Chickens inside it at once. Once you store a Prized Chicken, it actually adds one animal slot back to your original population, so that you can purchase additional animals for your farm afterwards. That is, if you have 20 animals, but store nine Prizes Chickens, your animal population would drop from 20 to 11, and you'd have room for nine more animals on your farm. What's more, you can feed all nine of these Chickens for half of the feed total required normally, and your animal Feed capacity will get a +25 boost.

Obviously, this is an absolutely wonderful addition to the farm that's well worth the time and effort that goes into building it. Not only will you have a place to store your excess animals, but you'll free up space for more animals, will save on Animal Feed in the long run, and will be able to store more Animal Feed in the first place. What are you waiting for? Build your Prized Chicken Coop as soon as you can.

FarmVille 2 Alps Crafting Recipes: Everything you need to know

As we continue our look at the Alps theme in FarmVille 2, which began with a guide to the themed items released in the store, we're now ready to examine the three themed crafting recipes that have been released in the Crafting Kitchen. As usual, some of these recipes are technically premium, but regardless of their ingredients, all three will only be available for a limited time. Let's get started!

The first recipe is the Braided Sugar Beet Bread, which can be crafted using one Batter and 14 Sugar Beets. Batter is a crafting recipe itself requiring Flour and Eggs to create (Flour is made with Wheat), and a Batter is worth 290 coins. The Sugar Beets, meanwhile, are the free crop in this theme, available to plant for 34 coins per square. They're ready to harvest in just one hour, so if you have a large stockpile of eggs or wheat, you could produce a lot of this Bread in a relatively short amount of time. A single Bread sells for 1,350 coins, and you'll receive 10 XP for creating it.
The second recipe is Apricot Briancon Tart. This is created using one Batter and five Briancon Apricots. Again, the Batter is a crafting recipe that's worth 290 coins itself, while the Apricots can be earned from the Briancon Apricot Tree that's available to purchase in the marketplace for 12 Farm Bucks. If you don't wish to purchase one of these trees for yourself, you still have a chance to earn these Apricots by tending the trees on your friends' farms, if any of your friends happen to splurge on the at least one of these trees. The Tart itself can be sold for 1,410 coins, and you'll earn 10 XP for each one you create.

The Final recipe is the Bunder Nusstore Tart, which is another premium recipe. It requires two Flour and six Swiss Pine Cones to create. Flour is made by combining four units of Wheat, and it's worth just 90 coins. Meanwhile, the Swiss Pine Cones are earned from this theme's other limited edition tree, the Swiss Pine Tree. This tree costs another 12 Farm Bucks to purchase in the store and it can be harvested every 12 hours. The same rules apply to this tree, as you can harvest your friends' Swiss Pine Trees for a chance at these Pine Cones, but of course, you'll need a friend to purchase the tree first (if you don't want to purchase one yourself, that is). This recipe gives you 1,470 coins when sold, and 11 XP when created.

All three of these recipes will only be available for 26 days, while the themed items in the store will be around for only 19. If nothing else, it's worth planting the Sugar Beet if you like collecting mastery signs, since you'll earn extra coins on the side for creating its themed Bread. Are the other two recipes worth spending the Farm Bucks on these premium trees? That will ultimately be up to you, but my guess is no.

FarmVille 'Mistletoe Lane Chapter 9' Goals: Everything you need to know

While most of us still aren't in our normal routines of working due to the New Year's Eve/Day holiday, it is Monday, which means a new goal series has launched for completion in FarmVille's Mistletoe Lane. Chapter 9 takes advantage of the holiday by theming some of the goals around resolutions and New Year's, and we're here with a complete guide to finishing them off, thanks to FarmVille Freak. Let's get started!

Closing Out the Year
  • Get 6 Gifts to Exchange
  • Harvest 125 Winter Grain
  • Make 3 Winter Casseroles

For this "Gifts to Exchange" task and all others that ask you to gather a certain kind of collectible, you'll be able to earn these items by posting a general request to your news feed for help. As for the Winter Grain, that crop takes a full day to grow, so make sure you plant it fast to not get behind right from the beginning. Finally, the Winter Casseroles can be prepared inside the Patisserie, but your crafting building must have at least 3-Stars before being able to cook it. A single Winter Casserole requires two Flint Corn, one Bell Pepper, and two Wax Bean Bushels to craft. You'll receive 150 XP, 3,000 coins and a "Ham It Up" for completing this goal.

Gifting Promises
  • Get 8 Resolutions
  • Harvest 150 Cider Apples
  • Make 3 Hollowberry Pie

The Cider Apples take 16 hours to grow, so feel free to plant them at the same time as the Winter Grain above, if you happen to have enough land space available to do so. As for the Hollowberry Pie, this is another Patisserie recipe, and it requires four Hollowberry, three Jingleberry and three Blueberry Bushels to create. You'll need a 3-Star Patisserie to unlock this recipe if you haven't already. You'll receive 200 XP, 3,500 coins and a Plush Dog for finishing this goal. You'll want to place this Plush Dog into an animal storage building as soon as you can, since you'll need to master it later.

Lazy Funday

  • Harvest 150 Wax Beans
  • Make 3 Potato Latkes

Yet again, we're being asked to harvest a lengthy crop, with Wax Beans taking 16 hours to grow. As we said before, it's always best to plant more than one kind of crop at once if you can, but if you don't have enough space, make sure to grow these Wax Beans as soon as you harvest the Cider Apples for the goal above. That way, these Wax Beans will get a head start on growing before you ever truly need them. Back in the Patisserie, the Potato Latke is the final 3-Star building recipe, and it requires one Winter Squash, one Sunflower and two Potatornament Bushels to craft. After you finish this goal, you'll receive 50 XP, 4,000 coins and a Movie Buff Gnome.

  • Harvest 150 Winter Squash
  • Make 2 Blackberry Champagne

The Winter Squash takes two full days to grow, but if you can't plant this crop ahead of time, it might be worth boosting with an Insta-Grow that you might have lying around in your inventory. If these goals weren't timed, this lengthy growth cycle obviously wouldn't be an issue, but ever minute counts here. As for the Blackberry Champange, this recipe is only available in a 4-Star Patisserie, so you'll need to level up your recipes even more to reach this point if you haven't already. It requires one Holiday Poinsettia, three Light Orchid and three Blackberry Bushels to craft. You'll receive 300 XP, 4,500 coins and a Reading Raccoon when you complete this goal.

Sporting Good Snow Times
  • Get 9 Snow Activities
  • Master Plush Dog to 1-Star
  • Harvest 175 Chocomint

As we said above, the Plush Dog should already be in an animal storage building, since you need to reach 1-Star. If you've been planning ahead with us, you might already have that first star, but if not, feel free to move this Dog around different storage buildings (if you have more than one), since you can harvest it multiple times in the same day with only a slight waiting time in between each. As for the Chocomint, this crop takes 16 hours to grow. After you finish this goal, you'll receive 350 XP, 5,000 coins and a Winter Sports Tree.

Things That Matter

  • Harvest 200 White Cranberry
  • Make 2 Snickerdoodles

The White Cranberries take 12 hours to grow, but if you haven't been very dedicated at playing in Mistletoe Lane, you might not have unlocked them yet. They require Cheer Level 29 to plant, so keep that in mind. As for the Snickerdoodles, these are a 4-Star Patisserie dish, and they require one Frost Holly, one Lavender, and two Winter Grain Bushels to craft. After you finish this final goal in all of Chapter 9, you'll receive 400 XP, 5,500 coins and a Hot Cocoa Pegacorn. Good luck!
