Earn 2 free FarmVille Farm Cash in Good Egg promotion

Farm CashWho wants some free Farm Cash? OK, now that we're through with the stupid questions, let's get to it. Another sponsored link has appeared in FarmVille, and this time it's thanks to Good Egg, a program that ensures the natural integrity of eggs from the farm to your breakfast table. Click on the link below your game screen that reads, "Learn about the Good Egg project poll!"

Then, you will be greeted by a pop-up with a faux-wooden boarder to let you know that it's from FarmVille. Then, all you need to do is answer the simple questions as the video plays to the left. Once that's through, text will appear next to the blue "X" in the upper right that will read, "You've earned your Farm Cash."

After that, the 2 Farm Cash should post to your account within 30 minutes, and you're free to close that window. Just be warned, some sponsored links aren't supported outside the US and vise versa. So, whatcha' gonna' buy?

FarmVille: Mouflon Sheep available as free gift for a limited time

Here's something that even veteran FarmVille players can get excited about: the Mouflon Sheep has just appeared on the game's free gifts page as a limited time only gift. While this animal has been available in the past, as a lost animal that would randomly appear on your farms, it's not nearly as common as say, the Ugly Duckling or Himalayan Cat that are currently going around.

Also, while this Mouflon Sheep is technically a sheep (yes, it looks more like a goat, but it is an actual species of sheep), it can't be placed inside your Sheep Pen, and therefore can't be bred. As it stands, this little fella gives you 84 coins each time you harvest it, and it can be harvested once every three days; then again, the profit isn't really we collect these animals, is it?

Even if you already have tons of these sheep on your land from previous releases, wouldn't it be nice to help out those newer players that don't have any? You can do so by sending them these sheep for a limited time. That time could be just a few hours, or even until tomorrow or later, but if you're like me, you won't want to take the risk of it being the former. Make sure to send these Sheep to friends (and ask for some in return) while you know you still can!

FarmVille Sheep Breeding Upgrade: Receive new patterns by leveling up

While we told you that Sheep Breeding in FarmVille would be given the Pig Breeding treatment, with levels and new patterns to unlock, we weren't exactly sure of the feature's release date. Turns out - it's now! The next time you log into your farm, you'll see a pop-up like the one above, letting you know that the upgrade has launched on your farm.

To ensure that you have at least one male Ram to breed sheep, you'll be given another Brutus the Ram for free, and will immediately go into placement mode to place the Ram where you'd like on your farm. From there, the actual breeding process works the same way as before, but your results when breeding will have changed. That is, you'll earn points for each Lamb successfully bred (right now it's three points), and will also earn points if you put a Lamb up for adoption and a friend claims it.

When you breed enough Sheep, you'll go up levels, earning free bonuses like Bottles and Love Potions along the way. Once you reach Level 5, you'll start unlocking new patterns. Level five is the Tiger Stripe Ram. You'll be able to track your progress towards each new pattern on the "Progress" tab of the Sheep Pen, and here's what you can expect to unlock over time:

Level 10 - Flower Ram
Level 15 - Racing Stripe Ram
Level 20 - Heart Ram
Level 25 - Checkered Ram
Level 30 - ZigZag (Lightning) Ram

Please note that the name of the Level 30 pattern is still up in the air, but it looks like Lightning or a "ZigZag" pattern to us. As with Pig Breeding, when you hit any of these milestone levels, you'll actually receive a free Ram with that pattern, to allow you to get right to breeding more Lambs that look the same. With the new 50/50 chance for pattern inheritance, at least you (hopefully) won't waste too many Bottles or Love Potions in trying to breed more flower Lambs, for instance. Even if you don't end up with the kind of Lamb you wait, remember that you've still earned breeding points, so it's never really a waste.

It's possible that more patterns will be added to this Sheep Breeding upgrade in the future, and if that's the case, we'll make sure to let you know.

FarmVille: Dreyer's / Edy's Fruit Bar crops come back for one last shot at mastery

If you found yourself caught up in the second birthday celebration in FarmVille, and forgot to plant your Dreyer's or Edy's Fruit Bar crops before they expired, you're in luck, as Zynga has re-released the crop to give all farmers a second chance at earning that exclusive master sign.

As of right now, you've only got two additional days to plat as many of these fruit bars as you can. Of course, your original progress with mastering the crop has been retained, so you can take over right where you left off. Hopefully, if you can manage to plant these fruit bars four full times in the at least 48 hours that they're still in the store, you'll earn enough mastery points to finish them off. Just do it fast - it's unlike Zynga to give us a second chance at limited edition crops (unless you wait an entire year for the holiday related ones to come back around), so I wouldn't expect them to offer a third...

FarmVille: Giant July Confetti Trees burst from Mystery Seedlings

Giant July Confetti TreeIt looks like we're celebrating our independence a bit early this year in FarmVille. Zynga has just released Giant July Confetti Trees to the through Mystery Seedlings (what else?), FarmVille Feed reports. The new Trees look like larger versions of the Star Flowers we peeked at yesterday.

What's weird about these Trees is that the release appears to be unintentional. When planted and grown, the Tree's actual graphic does not show, but a gray placeholder. FarmVille Feed guess that these brand new Trees will be made available through the Market in an official release this Monday.

And, based on previous estimates of past Trees, these could easily post to the Market for between 7 and 12 Farm Cash. Until then, keep growing those Mystery Seedlings, and we're sure those ugly gray placeholders will be replaced with color-waving confetti leaves soon enough.

FarmVille Sneak Peek: Star Flowers will bloom this Fourth of July

Star Flower Star Flower Mastery Star Flower Market Stall Star Flower Bushel
Every American's favorite summer holiday, the Fourth of July, is almost upon. And what's more American than lying around, playing FarmVille all day? (Throw in a few Big Macs and you might top it.) Zynga will soon honor the day of our independence with a new crop in the game, the Star Flower. To us, the Star Flower looks more like a sparkler or one of those pinwheels you put in your garden. Then again, this is the same farm that has seen Crystal and Cupcake crops within a month of each other.

This flower has the works: Bushels, a Mastery sign, and Market Stall and more, which leads us to believe that this limited edition crop will be around longer than most, but stranger things have happened. No other information has been released regarding the new flower, but our guess is that it will be released with one of those Farm Cash licenses. You call it "cynicism," we call it "being realistic."

FarmVille Sheep and Pig Breeding will get much, much better

FarmVille Sheep Pig Breeding boost
Remember that FarmVille Father's Day promotion that boosted male pattern-transfer rates in Sheep and Pigs by 100 percent? Well, we all (including Zynga) apparently loved it so much that a portion of that boost will permanently be added to the game. Soon enough, male Sheep and Pigs will have a 50 percent chance of passing their unique pattern onto their offspring. Not only will this make breeding that much more fun, it also makes the guesswork far simpler. Check out Zynga's full statement from the FarmVille forums:
Breeding is going to get better! Due to the popularity and high demand for the feature, the chance of Dads passing on their patterns to their children will go up to 50%! Moms no longer impact pattern inheritance but can influence the color of their children! So prepare your sheep and pigs, start stocking up on love potions and gather your bottles because breeding is going to get more fun!
Now when you go into a breeding scenario, all you need to know is there is a 50-50 shot that the youngin' will inherit its daddy's pattern. Female Sheep and Pigs, again, only influence colors. We're sure you are blown away by this oncoming update (not to mention that Sheep are getting Levels, too), but pull yourself together and starting hoarding Love Potions and Baby Bottles for when the boost finally arrives
